An Army of Murdered Soldiers

PFC LaVena Johnson died in Iraq.  The official version is she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound from an M16 after becoming depressed from a breakup. Her father called bullshit and demanded access to the autopsy photographs. When Dr. Johnson finally received photos from the crime scene and LaVena’s autopsy, he observed abrasions to the face, burns on her body, a broken nose, bite marks, knocked out teeth, and signs of sexual abuse, including acid burns to her genitals – details not mentioned in the autopsy report.

The 5'1" African-American honor student enlisted in the Army immediately after graduating from Hazelwood Central High School. She was deployed to Iraq and stationed in Balad. She had been there for eight weeks before her death on July 19, 2005, eight days before her 20th birthday.

Fast forward to April 22, 2020.  Specialist Vanessa Guillen disappeared from the arms room at Fort Hood, Texas.  What the rest of the world did not find out until over two months later was she had been bludgeoned to death by another soldier and her body dismembered, burned, and finally encased in concrete to prevent discovery.

Notice the similarity between the two cases.

Both were young low ranking enlisted soldiers. Both were small women. Both had severe facial injuries, including broken teeth. According to an Army spokesperson, the damage to Specialist Guillen's teeth was so bad dental records were useless and she was identified by strands of hair.

Both women were set on fire. Specialist Guillen's body was so badly damaged I doubt if it will ever be determined if she was sexually assaulted before she died.

Bringing us back to the soldier accused of killing Specialist Guillen. He is an E4 named Aaron Robinson. I will not use his rank, he does not deserve it. The Army went to great pains to establish that he was a 'junior' soldier. He was not the person who called Specialist  Guillen in to work on her day off. He wasn't anywhere in her chain of command. The did not even work in the same arms room. According to her family, she was being sexually harassed by a sergeant. Not a specialist, which is what another soldier would have identified him as, but a sergeant.

The whole investigation was a giant Charlie Foxtrot from jump. Yeah, I'm trotting out the military terminology. She was missing, but never listed as AWOL leading me to believe that someone in her chain of command knew exactly where she was.

Supposedly, this soldier bludgeoned her to death with a hammer in the arms room, shoved her body into a case usually used to transport weapons and hid her there while he went off  post to get cleaning supplies.

I swear this story has enough holes in it drive a Bradley through.

Every building on every military installation anywhere in the world has a closetful of cleaning supplies readily available to anyone who needs them.  All Robinson would have had to do was walk down a hallway and grab whatever he needed.  Did CID or the FBI or the Provost Marshal or, I don't know, any of the alphabet agencies involved think about going into the two places she was last seen with a can of Luminal and a black light? There is no way in hell this jerk cleaned up after what he did to Specialist Guillen without help.

Who helped him?

Who was the sergeant who called her into work on her day off?

Who was the sergeant sexually harassing her?

How did a soldier supposedly confined to quarters get out of the barracks without being reported?

Why has the Army wrapped this all up in a neat little package with the only person left to charge with anything a civilian?

If the Army knows the answer, they sure as hell aren't telling. According to the CID investigation, they have found no credible evidence of sexual harassment in Specialist Guillen's chain of command or for that matter, anywhere on Fort Hood and probably the entire United States Army.

Yeah, right.

Back to the case of PFC Johnson. She died in Iraq in 2005. No, I am not saying Robinson was responsible for her death. He was only about six years old in '05.  What I am saying is he is part of the systemic failure of the Department of Defence that allows women soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines to be harassed, assaulted, raped, and killed while covering up for the people committing these acts of violence.

The only word we have about what happened comes from Robinson's girlfriend. She must have been major dickmatized to think it was a great idea to burn, dismember, and encase another woman's body in concrete. None of this makes sense. These two used a machete to dismember Specialist Guillen and buried her body in three separate graves. Then they destroyed her cell phone and threw what was left of it out the window of their vehicle along with the hammer and the machete.

This stupid cunt needs to go to jail for life and I don't give a rat's rear end how much she aided the police with their enquires.

As for Robinson, he took the coward's way out. Shot himself before being taken into custody after somehow managing to leave the barracks where he was confined to quarters and make it off post. Makes you wonder how he managed that. Fort Hood's security seems to be non-existent. Except I don't think he was afraid of going to jail for murder. I think he was afraid of what his partners in crime would do to him should he start talking to CID.  How do we know he didn't murder Specialist Guillen on orders from someone else?

This entire thing stinks to high heaven. The only thing not surprising about this entire debacle is the Army hasn't ruled Specialist Guillen's death a suicide, but they don't need to, as Robinson conveniently provided them with one. Now they can close the books on the investigation and everything will continue as it always has.

Over forty years ago I was in the first of the women soldiers integrated into a traditionally all male units. I thought the battles we went through then would make things easier for the women who would follow us.

It didn't.

Gods help us, while doing research to finish this post, I found another one.

Kamisha Block's family were told she died in "a non-combat-related incident." It wasn't until her mother was at the funeral home, helping prepare her twenty-year-old daughter for burial, that she discovered the truth.

"I immediately said she had been shot in the head," Shonta Block said. "They had fake hair on her head. She always had short hair, but they had a putty patch to put the hair on her head and this big bun tied up."

Specialist Block's family were told she had been killed in a friendly fire accident.

"After more than a year of questions and a formal information request from U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, the family finally got a more full picture of what happened to Kamisha in a report provided by Army investigators. Instead of one shot, there had been five across her head and chest.

Although heavily redacted, the report also shed more light on Brandon Norris, a non-commissioned officer in a relationship with Kamisha and the man suspected of killing her that day in August 2007.
The report detailed a few red-flags about Norris, including his controlling behavior, officers' warnings not to have contact with Kamisha and investigators' discovery of anabolic steroids in his footlocker. Norris killed himself after killing Kamisha, according to the report."
Its as if there is some sort of bizarre and morbid trifecta.  (1) A murdered female soldier,  (2) the perpetrator dead by suicide, and (3) her military unit was deployed from Fort Hood.
I am not saying that any of these murders are connected. The point I am trying to make is the Army doesn't consider young female soldiers worthy of justice.
These three are only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I keep finding more.
Enough is enough.
This has got to stop.
